At Barwon Community Legal Service, we believe in a just society, where everyone has equal access to the law and feels safe, respected, and empowered. Our rebrand reflects that belief.
It’s been an amazing evolution over recent years. Our work proudly spans legal assistance, education, advocacy, and prevention. We needed a brand that could grow with us, one that embraces all that’s unique about our Wadawurrung country, speaks to the diversity of our region, the complexity of the legal challenges our clients face and the importance of our partnerships.
Our new brand identity is designed to be approachable and inclusive, just like our service. The colours reflect the Barwon landscape and the people who live here, while the logo symbolises community, resolution, and support.
This new look tells a story:
- Community and Inclusion – a circle of shapes symbolising people standing together and supporting each other.
- Movement and Purpose – dynamic elements that represent our ongoing work and commitment to justice, symbolising the way we walk alongside people through complex circumstances.
- Connection to Place – colours inspired by the Barwon region: orange for sand and cliffs, blues for rivers and ocean, greens for forests and plains.
This rebrand is more than aesthetic changes, it’s about clarity, community and connection. It helps us communicate who we are and what we stand for: a legal service that walks alongside people, challenges systemic disadvantages, and puts community first.
We are proud of our history and excited about our future. With this new brand, we feel equipped to advocate, educate, and engage, and continue building a service who helps people in need of legal advice the most.
